The original Colnago cf seat post was included, however it had a longitudinal crack, and had been replaced by a Cannondale carbon post. I set up the purchase by phone and waited for the bike to arrive to Sweden. The bike was the right size with the original Record 9-speed group, bar the crankset that had been replaced by a black Campagnolo Veloce. I searched online for a 56-58cm c40 in 00F, with Record 9-speed, Star Carbon fork, non-B stay and non-HP, since I think that the rear stays of that model retains the classic elegance of a lugged steel frame, yet made from carbon, while the straight blades of the Star fork gives it a contemporary touch.Īfter a lot of searching, I found this bike advertised on an Italian classified page, located in Torino, only 160km from the Colnago factory. Browsing images and catalogue scans, I identified it from my memory as a C40 in the color 00F. Looking at the Colnago Master, I was reminded of the Colnago that my friend’s father once had. Years later, I had developed an interest for vintage road bikes. But when visiting a friends house, I saw his fathers brand new road bike sitting in the middle of their living room, a brand new Colnago, all carbon fiber with yellow graphics. Wheels will also have minor cosmetic damage on rims, spokes, and/or hubs. The frame will have slight paint loss, scratches, and/or scuffs. To earn a rating in this range, bicycles have sustained some wear but no significant damage. Bikes with suspension components have minor scuffs and scratches on the fork legs and shock, and the stanchions are immaculate. The cockpit has light wear, primarily on the grips or handlebar tape. The drivetrain shows light wear but the derailleurs, shifters, and levers have not sustained any damage. Frame and wheels show slight signs of wear with only minor scuffs and scratches - no paint chipping. While these bikes have been ridden, they remain in excellent condition.
Drivetrain, levers, cockpit, and suspension (where applicable) are in new condition. The frame and wheels might have minor blemishes or scuffs from transportation or showroom display.
